Community Rules

Effective date: 2026-05-25

ProGameInfo exists to help people discover games, servers, events, and the communities around them. To keep the Service safe and useful, we apply the following rules to every user-generated surface: wiki articles, forum threads, party ads, profile fields, comments, server descriptions, support tickets, direct messages, and anything else you can submit.

These rules complement the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. In case of conflict, the Terms of Service prevail.

1. The platform's role

ProGameInfo is an information platform and an intermediary hosting provider. We do not author user content. We do, however, set and enforce the standards on this page, and we will act on credible reports of violations.

We are not neutral about illegal content, child safety, or coordinated harm. Where the law is clear, our judgment will follow it.

2. Hard rules - immediate ban, content removed, data preserved

The following are non-negotiable. Violations result in immediate account termination, content removal, evidence preservation, and - where applicable - referral to the competent law-enforcement authority together with the user's account data.

  1. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in any form, including illustrated, animated, or text-only depictions.
  2. Terrorism, violent extremism, or genocide: glorification, promotion, recruitment, instructions, or distribution of related material.
  3. Threats of violence against an identifiable person or a clearly identified group.
  4. Doxxing: publishing personal information (real name, address, workplace, ID, phone, family members) of any person without their consent, regardless of whether the data is "already public" elsewhere.
  5. Non-consensual intimate imagery, including deepfakes.
  6. Trafficking of persons, controlled substances, weapons, stolen credentials, stolen game items, or counterfeit goods.
  7. Malware, ransomware, exploit tools targeting other users, game servers, or our infrastructure.
  8. Coordinated inauthentic behavior: vote brigades, fake accounts, manipulation of leaderboards or reputation systems.

If you encounter any of the above, report immediately to [not specified]. CSAM should also be reported to your national reporting body.

3. Conduct - account moderation, content review

The following behaviors lead to warnings, content removal, mutes, and - on repeat or severity - bans.

  • Hate speech and slurs targeting any person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Harassment: targeted insults, sustained personal attacks, sealioning, dogpiling, encouraging others to harass.
  • Sexual content involving real people posted without their consent. Generally-sexual content is not the focus of this platform; non-graphic discussion is allowed in context.
  • Gore and shock content outside of clearly tagged moderation queues.
  • Spam: repetitive promotion, copy-paste posts across threads, off-topic affiliate links, mass mentions.
  • Scams: phishing, fake giveaways, fraudulent boosting services, fake reviews.
  • Account markets: selling, buying, or transferring accounts (yours or others') for in-game economies the publisher prohibits.
  • Cheating ecosystems: distributing or promoting cheat software, account-sharing rings, exploit guides aimed at ruining other players' experience.
  • Misrepresentation: impersonating another user, employee, server staff, or official affiliate of a game publisher.

Wiki and forum content is held to higher standards of accuracy. Repeatedly introducing false, misleading, or unsourced material may lead to loss of edit privileges.

4. Server listings and operator conduct

If you list a game server on ProGameInfo:

  • You confirm you have the right to operate that server and to advertise it under the name and branding you use.
  • You confirm that the server complies with the publisher's terms of service.
  • You take responsibility for moderation on your own server - ProGameInfo does not police in-game chat or in-game behavior.
  • You must respond to legitimate user complaints within a reasonable time. Servers with sustained, unanswered abuse reports may be delisted.

We may delist any server at our discretion. Delisting does not constitute a finding of wrongdoing by the operator.

5. Reporting violations

  • In-app: every UGC surface has a "Report" button. Use it.
  • Email: [not specified] for illegal content, [not specified] for everything else.
  • Copyright: see the DMCA Policy.
  • Account compromise (yours): [not specified].

Provide as much context as you can: URLs, screenshots, timestamps, the username involved, and what rule you believe was broken. Vague reports take longer to action.

6. Moderation outcomes

Possible outcomes, listed from lightest to heaviest:

  1. Warning: a private note in the user's account record. Repeat warnings escalate.
  2. Content removal: the offending post is taken down. The author is notified.
  3. Edit restriction: the user keeps account access but cannot post in specific surfaces (wiki, forum, party).
  4. Temporary suspension: account access suspended for a defined period (24 hours to 30 days).
  5. Permanent ban: account terminated, content removed, IP-hash recorded to prevent immediate re-registration.
  6. Referral to law enforcement: where the conduct appears to constitute a crime, we preserve evidence and refer to the competent authority, together with the user's account data, as described in section 7.

Our decisions are not negotiable but they are appealable once. Send appeals to [not specified] within 30 days of the action. Include the username, the action taken, and a clear explanation of why you believe the action was wrong.

7. Cooperation with law enforcement

We disclose user account data to law enforcement only on receipt of a lawful request from a competent authority (court order, prosecutor's request, or equivalent statutory mechanism). The disclosure may include:

  • email address, username, display name;
  • IP-address hashes and timestamps;
  • content the user has posted;
  • linked OAuth identities (Discord, Google, Steam) where available;
  • moderation history.

We may notify the affected user. We will not do so where the law forbids notification (gag order or equivalent).

Posting prohibited content - and especially the content listed in section 2 - is a decision to expose your account data to law enforcement. We do not view this as a privacy violation; we view it as a foreseeable consequence.

A redacted transparency report listing the number of requests received and complied with is published annually at [not specified].

8. Changes to these Rules

We may revise these Rules. The latest version is published at /legal/community-rules and identified by an effective date. Material changes are notified in-app. Continued use of the Service after the new version takes effect constitutes acknowledgment.

9. Contact

Abuse and illegal content: [not specified] Appeals: [not specified] Account security: [not specified] Copyright (DMCA): [not specified] Privacy / DPO: [not specified] Everything else: [not specified]
